2017/11Wine Advocate - Robert Parker
The 2015 Cabriolet is a Touriga Nacional that comes in at 14% alcohol. It was aged in used French oak for 12 months after fermentation in stainless steel. This is closer to a Dão style than typical Alentejo, fresh and elegant with fine acidity supporting the fruit. The mid-palate shows finesse—yet it has plenty of concentration—and the finish is filled with flavor. It seems like the pure essence of Touriga. Then, add all those Touriga aromatics. This doesn't hit you over the head but the more I tasted it, the more I liked it. Although at the moment I'd say the Procura 2013 is Susana's best red, this might surpass it in time just based on its sheer exuberance. There were just 1,450 bottles produced.

In 2015 for the first time, since I made wines in the Alentejo, a Touriga Nacional surprised me by its sharpness and complexity.
I decided to bottle it in 2017, and so the first Cabriolet was born, which will only "circulate" again when a particular grape, in a certain year, will surprise us again.
