The 2013 Branco Adventura is an unoaked blend of two vineyards (70% from a 30-year-old field blend in Portalegre; plus 30% from a vineyard in Estremoz where Arinto is the main variety). Bottled in February 2015, this is rounding into form now. Showing a bit of earth and a touch of steel and minerality, this is rather solid and serious, even though it is the first vintage in the Adventura Branco series (a somewhat lower priced line than the Procura). It is a very nice start. It may last longer than I think, but let's exercise a bit of caution. There were just 3,600 bottles produced.
After fifteen years working as a winemaker I decided to embrace the ADVENTURE to become a wine producer. A fascinating ADVENTURE and challenge that I intend to live as pleasurably as possible. I just hope you'll have as much fun as I did making them.
